    •  This is a podcast series designed to introduce classical music to little ones. With two distinct seasons Sounds Like Australia, narrated by ABC Play School’s Luke Carrol and Music for The Dreaming, narrated by ABC Bushwacked’s Kamil Ellis, Classic Kids focuses on Australian-made music performed by Ensemble Offspring, and gives your kids an opportunity to learn about instrument sounds, develop their musical vocabulary, and explore the importance of listening. It has a focus on indigenous stories

  1. AUSTRALIAN YOUTH ORCHESTRA
    • Rhymes and Songs is a series of video-based music education lessons for foundation to year 2 students based on the much loved book and compact disc resources by the late Richard Gill OA: Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star and How I Wonder, published by Devirra Publications www.devirra.com.
      Each video features a rhyme or song from the collection and is presented by one of the lead music teacher mentors in the National Music Teacher Mentoring Program.
  2. Google Chrome Music Lab: 
    • Chrome Music Lab is a website that makes learning music more accessible through fun, hands-on experiments.
    • Many teachers have been using Chrome Music Lab as a tool in their classrooms to explore music and its connections to science, math, art, and more
  3. SOUNDWALKS: ABC KIDS
    • Soundwalks paint rich, sonic landscapes for children to explore with their imaginations, to develop an appreciation for the sounds of nature as well as to encourage a co-listening educational experience.
    • Listeners are guided through a narrative in a unique Australian environment. Each Soundwalk uses naturally occurring field recordings as well as subtle sound effects, to create an emotive, immersive and restful experience.
